United Methodist Women
Mission
United Methodist Women are a community of women whose purpose is to know
God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to
develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission
through participation in global ministries of the church.
Open Membership
Any activities, meetings, or events sponsored by Mouzon's United
Methodist Women are open to all women, regardless of church membership
status or affiliation. The group provides women with fellowship and
spiritual growth opportunities through circles, Bible studies, and large
group gatherings.
From the Treasurer: See the treasurer with
your 2006 pledges or if you have questions.
Annual Events
October Bazaar
Held at the church for over 50 years, this Saturday regularly event draws hundreds
of people from the community. Includes: Arts and crafts for holiday
gift-giving, home canned and baked goods, Attic Sale, Silent Auction,
"Second Glance", breakfast and lunch. 100% of money collected goes
to local charities, such as Second Harvest Food Bank, Battered Women's
Shelter, Habitat for Humanity, and Bethlehem Center.
Women's Retreat
We enjoy a wonderful time of fellowship with an annual retreat. Due to
several years of sketchy weather, the 2006 retreat was moved to May and
conducted with the annual May luncheon. We had a fabulous turn out with over
50 for the retreat, combined with 30 more for the luncheon. Our speaker was
a member, Melody Twigg, who led us in a wonderful fellowship just before she
left for seminary!
